§ 1The firm
Place Partners Group is a relationship-driven corporate brokerage and transaction firm with offices in New York, Philadelphia and São Paulo.
We connect business owners, buyers, capital providers and strategic partners, and help move the conversation toward a transaction. We are not a management consultancy and we do not produce reports for their own sake. Where a business needs operational or strategic advice, or help telling its story, we work alongside firms that specialize in that.
§ 2Founder
David Place works with business owners, buyers, capital providers and strategic partners to find opportunities, make commercial connections and move transactions forward.
His work is built on relationships. He takes the time to understand what an owner or investor is trying to achieve, works out who they should be talking to, makes the introduction, and then stays involved to help the transaction get done.
He brings more than 30 years of transaction experience to that role. He started as a lawyer and in tax at PricewaterhouseCoopers, then moved into corporate finance with Risk Capital Partners and Griffin Financial Group, and spent five years in Brazil with Agrinlog, three of them as Head of Corporate Finance. That mix gives him relationships and deal experience on both sides of the United States–Brazil corridor.

More than 40 years in Brazilian banking and credit, including executive roles at Banco Itaú and Banco Bradesco, and six years as founder and CEO of Agrinlog Brasil Investimentos.
Former Managing Director and Head of Global Structured Products at Deutsche Bank, with earlier senior roles at UBS Securities and Merrill Lynch. Private equity investor since 2006.
